Adult Softball

2014 Adult Softball Leagues

Open League Slow-Pitch Arc Softball
This league is open to adult teams. No residency rules apply. Teams participate in a league that will start in Mid-April and end by September. All games for the league will be played on Monday & Thursday nights. All games are played at Scenic Hudson Park, Field #1. Teams will play between 15 to 18 games. Games are played as early as 6:15 p.m. and as late as 9:00 p.m. Entry fee for the Open League T.B.D. The league is governed by the rules of the U.S.S.S.A

Coed Adult Softball League
This league is open to any adult team. No residency rules apply. Teams. All games for this league will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Scenic Hudson Field One. League play will begin in April and continue through August. Game times are scheduled as early as 6:15 p.m and as late as 9:00 p.m. Teams will play between 15 to 18 games. Entry fee for the Coed League T.B.D. The league is governed by the rules of the U.S.S.S.A.

Over 40 Softball League
This adult league is for participants over 40 years of age is played on fields in Irvington, Dobbs Ferry and Hastings. Almost all games are played on Sunday mornings. Teams usually play double-headers every Sunday. Make-up games and some Playoff games are played on weeknights. League play begins in April and continues thru early August. Teams must be from the River Communities. The entry fee for the Over 40 League is yet to be determined. Teams will play between 22 to 28 games. The league is governed by the rules of the U.S.S.S.A

Note: These leagues are for teams. Individuals who contact the Recreation Department and would like to play are responsible for contacting managers of existing teams. The department will provide the names and phone numbers of managers to individuals who are looking to join a team.
