Recreation Spring Youth Baseball and Softball Program

Spring Youth Baseball and Softball Program
Registration Begins: Wednesday, January 8th
Registration Ends: Wednesday, February 26th

The Irvington Recreation and Parks Department will once again sponsor the Spring Baseball and Softball Leagues for the youth of the community. This program is designed to allow children with various skill levels to play in a fun and safe environment. The season will begin in mid-April and run through mid-June.

Parent volunteer coaches are needed for this program. Contact Angela at ashaw@irvingtonny.gov if interested.

2014 Baseball/Softball Fees Jan. 8th-Feb. 26th
(Fee’s increase by $30 each after Feb. 26th):

T-Ball Fee:
Resident Kindergarten child: $180.00
School District Kindergarten child: $205.00
Non-Resident Kindergarten child: $245.00

Rookie, Minor, Major, Senior Fee:
Each Resident child: $205.00
Each additional child in family: $150.00.

Each School District child: $230.00
Each additional child in family: $175.00

Each Non-Resident child: $275.00

Fees includes uniforms and end of the season picnic.
Please make checks payable to Village of Irvington.
Major credit cards are also accepted with a service fee.
SAVE MONEY– REGISTER BY FEB 26.
There is NO guarantee of placement if registration is not completed by 2/26.


Baseball Divisions
Rookie Division: This division is for children currently in first and second grade. Coaches will pitch to their own team. Children can expect to play 1-2 games per week and most Saturdays at various fields. Safety balls are used for this division.

Minor League Division: This division is for current third and fourth grade students. Players will begin to pitch. A safety ball will be used in this division. Games will be played at various times and locations.

Major League Division: This division is for fifth and sixth grade students. Seventh grade students who turn 13 years old after April 30, 2014 are also eligible for this division. Players pitch in all games. Games will be played on various days, times, and locations.

Senior League Division: T.B.D.

T-Ball Division
This division is for children currently in Kindergarten only. No Pre-Kindergarten children may register. All games are played in a T-ball format. Most games will be played on weekday evenings.

Softball Divisions
The Irvington Recreation Department is happy to partner with Greenburgh again this year and participate in the Greenburgh Youth Softball League. Games are played in Irvington, Tarrytown, and Greenburgh. Practices are held on Irvington fields. Game and practice days and time vary

3rd & 4th Grade Division: Coaches pitch in this division. A safety ball is used.

5th & 6th Grade Division: Players will pitch in this division. A safety ball is used.

No mail-in or fax registration accepted.
A different registration form is used for the baseball clinics.
All registration is done in person at the Rec. Dept. (71 Main St.)
