Avoiding Coyote Conflicts

There has been a rise in the number of incidents involving coyotes and domestic animals such as dogs. Find out what to do.

As spring moves into summer, there has been a rise in the number of incidents involving coyotes and domestic animals such as dogs. Residents are reminded to contact the Irvington Police Department using 911 or the non-emergency number (914-591-8080) immediately if you observe a coyote exhibiting aggressive or dangerous behavior. Be sure to ask for the Irvington Police Department if you call 911 using your cell phone.

In addition, the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation has assembled helpful information to help avoid coyote conflicts.
