Stillpoint Movie at the Town Hall Theater Tonight

The documentary film Stillpoint — which screens at the Irvington Town Hall Theater tonight at 8:00 p.m. followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker — tells the story of an eclectic group of people who made “unplugging” from the world their daily practice. The movie was written, produced, and choreographed by Irvington native Penny Peyser.  For tickets, visit:

Thank you to those who came out to the meeting I hosted on reassessment, along with Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner and Town Assessor Edye McCarthy.  In an almost 3 hour meeting, I thought a lot of good information was discussed.  If you missed the meeting or were shut out due to the overflow crowd, the meeting video is posted on the Village web site:

Celebrate Irvington and Photo Contest

This year, we will again be running a Celebrate Irvington event on Sunday, June 19, 2016 – that’s Father’s Day!  Enjoy a day of family-friendly activities, to “Celebrate Irvington” a small, walkable nationally recognized historic village on the Hudson River.  Special Father’s Day focus planned for dads and everyone else, young and old.  Trolley rides, historic walking tours and much more will mark the day.

To help build excitement as we approach this fun event, our local merchants are participating in a photo contest.  Tell us what you love about Irvington, whether it's your favorite restaurants and shops, the beautiful view of the Hudson River, or your secret spot on the Aqueduct. Snap a good photo and post it either on Facebook or Instagram with hashtag #celebrateirvington.  Whoever has the most "Likes" will receive a $100 gift certificate to one of our local merchants. Snap away and good luck!
