Loving Our Children Well: A Conversation About Parenting, Emotional Development, and the Cultivation of Well-being in Adolescents
Thursday, June 9th from 7PM - 8:30PM at the High School Auditorium
Please join the Irvington Schools, parents, and community members in an intimate discussion examining the relationships adolescents need from their parents. We will explore ways to more accurately attune to the needs of adolescents living in a world filled with overwhelming social and academic pressures and uncertainties.
This presentation will address some of the questions often on the minds of parents:
*How can I communicate better with my child?
*How much independence should I give my child?
*What does it mean and what do I do if they’re using drugs and alcohol?
*How do I know when my child is really in trouble?
