Even more about face coverings
Last night, Governor Cuomo issued another Executive Order addressing the use of face coverings. Executive Order 202.17 goes into effect at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020 and reads as follows:
“Any individual who is over age two and able to medically tolerate a face-covering shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain, or when not maintaining, social distance.”
Take your trash with you
Public Works employees are working extremely hard to maintain essential curbside garbage and recycling collection. Parks employees are doing their best to maintain the village’s parks. By taking your trash with you when you venture out to Main Street or one of our parks, you help lighten the load, allowing these employees to continue to do essential work. Thank you for your cooperation. Many hands make light work.
Village cooperation
For the past 17 years, the six villages in the Town of Greenburgh (and more recently including the Village of Sleepy Hollow), have collaborated to discuss and address matters of mutual interest. The Village Officials Committee, as it has come to be known, has focused its efforts on providing cost effective and efficient services to their citizenry. Past efforts included joint bidding of paving and other purchases. During this time of crisis, the villages continue to share ideas through regular conference calls. They have used their collective purchasing power to obtain important personal protective equipment, supplies and other medical equipment for their first responders and front line employees. These collaborations have proven to be very helpful in a time when supply lines are inconsistent.
