The collection of first-half Village Taxes has a few changes this year. The due date has been extended to July 21, 2020. Additionally, we are providing three methods of payment. Drop off, mail and online.
- Due to COVID-19 regulations, Village Hall is closed to the public at this time. Village taxes may be paid the following ways:
- Drop off at Village Hall. Please bring your check and stub in an envelope to the Police Department. There is a designated box for the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office.
- Mail payment. Send to: Village of Irvington, 85 Main Street, Irvington, NY 10533.
- Online. There is no charge for e-check deductions from your bank account. Credit card payments have applicable fees. Please pay at www.IRVINGTON.GOV/ONLINEPAY
- There is an extension of due date. It is extended from June 30th to July 21, 2020. The Village requested a 21 day extension of the penalty free period which was granted by Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.32. First-half tax payments will not receive a penalty if paid on or by July 21. 2020. All accrued penalties apply if not paid by July 22nd and thereafter.
Statutory Announcement:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village tax roll and warrant for the 2020/21 fiscal year has been delivered to the Village Clerk-Treasurer for the collection of taxes levied on such roll. The first half installment of such taxes will be collected at the office of the Village Clerk-Treasurer in Village Hall, 85 Main Street, Irvington, NY 10533 from June 1, 2020 to July 21, 2020 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. excepting Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. All amounts paid after July 21, 2020 will be subject to interest as set forth in New York State Real Property Tax Law Section 1432. The second half installment of such taxes will be collected at the same location between December 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 in the same manner.
Please note that first installment payments postmarked Wednesday, July 22, 2020 and beyond, or made in person on July 22nd and beyond at Village Hall will be assessed a penalty. Bear in mind only a bona fide U.S.P.S. postmark evidences timeliness.
