Police Reform Committee – Your Input Needed
For nearly two months, a group of dedicated citizens, Irvington Police Department members, and public officials have been collaborating with the goal of reimagining the Irvington Police Department to ensure it is meeting the needs of the Irvington community for the 21st Century and beyond. A crucial part of that process is to seeking feedback from the Irvington community, along with those who visit and work in Irvington.
To help gather feedback, the committee has initiated an anonymous and confidential online survey. Details about the survey, including links to respond, are posted on the Village web site here: http://www.irvingtonny.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2285
To expand the opportunities for feedback, the committee will hold a series of public listening forums in the coming weeks. I invite you to attend the first of the forums, scheduled for tonight from 7pm to 9pm. The Zoom invitation is shown below. Although the meeting is two hours long, you can feel free to drop in to express your opinion or stay for the whole meeting. The committee is there to listen to the opinions of our community about the state of policing in Irvington.
In closing, we are very proud of the Irvington Police Department and our officers. Now we are seeking your help to make it even better, for the officers and the community.
