The Tentative Budget for 2022/23 has been filed by Clerk-Treasurer, Brenda Jeselnik. The tax rate of $7.9709 per thousand of assessed valuation reflects no increase in the tax rate over last year. This is the 4th year in the last 5 without a tax increase, a record that the Mayor and Board of Trustees are very proud of achieving and testament to the strong financial position of the Village.
Water rates will be capped at a 2% increase. The increase is primarily due to water infrastructure improvements. No increase in Sewer rates are required at this time.
A digital copy of the proposed operating budget is available on the Village website. Hard copies may be obtained in the Village Clerk/Treasurer’s Office.
A public hearing on the budget will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 at 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend via zoom. Instruction will be posted with the meeting agenda on the Village website. Comments may also be submitted by letter addressed to Lawrence Schopfer, Village Administrator, 85 Main Street, Irvington, NY or by email to lschopfer@irvingtonny.gov
