He also served in the Irvington Volunteer Ambulance Corps for 23 years, including 5 years as its Captain, along with over 20 years of service on the Irvington Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee. Assemblyman Abinanti always exhibited a willingness to work across party lines to get things done as he served in the New York State Assembly, the Westchester County Board of Legislators and the Greenburgh Town Board.

It was a nice night to celebrate these two dedicated individuals who helped make Irvington a better place. Mayor Smith announced that the Town Hall Clock Tower would be lit Green and White for the rest of the night in their honor.
