Irvington DPW crews and its tree contractor, The Care of Trees, are working throughout the Village cleaning up hazardous fallen trees and limbs along the sides of roads. Crews are scheduled to work at the following general locations over the next few days as follows:

Thu 3/4 - Broadway North and South
Fri 3/5 - Havemeyer Rd., Ardsley Park East and West
Mon 3/8 - Hamilton Rd., East and West Clinton Ave., Dows Ln., Station Rd.
Tue 3/9 - Harriman Rd., Cyrus Field Rd., Legend Hollow, Main St.,
Sidestreets off Main St.
Wed 3/10 - W. Sunnyside Ln., Fargo Ln., Riverview Rd.
Thu 3/11 - E. Sunnyside Ln., Hudson View Park, Mountain Rd.

The DPW is aware that there is a significant amount of debris to be picked up from residents throughout the Village. At this time, the DPW cannot pick up that debris because there is simply no place to put it. The Village's yard waste storage locations are inaccessible due to the snow pack and soft ground conditions. PLEASE DO NOT PUT OUT STORM DEBRIS FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP AT THIS TIME.

In the coming days and weeks, the DPW will reassess the situation and notify residents when storm debris can be placed curbside for pickup. When this occurs, please note that the DPW will only pickup debris based on its present rules which include the use of biodegradable bags, 4 foot bundles securely tied, and no branches over 6 inches in diameter.
