ON KAYAKING
Irvington Senior Center in Scenic Hudson Park
Calling All Kayaking Enthusiasts!
If you’re interested in improving and expanding kayaking access on the Irvington waterfront, please come to this public meeting.
The Kayaking Subcommittee of the Irvington Business Improvement Committee (IBIC) has launched a “Kayak Irvington!” initiative, through which we seek to engage all interested community members to help identify ways to improve the conditions for kayaking and to brainstorm solutions. Our hope is that through the combined interest and efforts of Irvington residents, local businesses, the Village, and others, together we can make Irvington a more convenient and fun site for kayaking!
At this initial Community Conversation on Kayaking, Irvington Recreation and Parks Superintendent Joe Archino will give an overview on the status of kayaking facilities and their improvement, including an update on grants, volunteer needs/possibilities, etc. Members of the Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee and IBIC’s Kayaking Subcommittee will also attend.
