[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Irene Preparedness

As Hurricane Irene tracks a path towards the New York City metropolitian area, the Village of Irvington urges residents to take precautions.

Please check your residence for objects which could become projectiles with high winds. That may include, patio furniture, umbrellas, trash receptacles and flags. Village Department Heads are monitoring the storm and taking various preventative measures as well.

Remember that if you do not have power, a cordless phone will not work. Use a corded, plug in telephone to make and receive calls.
