A category 2 hurricane is currently forecasted to hit Irvington tomorrow, Saturday evening. We expect high winds and heavy rain (up to 10") continuing into Sunday evening.
It is likely that this storm will result in local flooding, downed trees and power lines.

Village personnel have taken proactive measures to mitigate flooding and hazardous conditions. The Irvington Fire Department and Ambulance Corp as well as the Police Department will be on call, however we urge all resident to avoid travel during and after the storm.
Reminder: Please check your property for objects that could become projectiles in the high wind and cause additional property damage and a dangerous condition for first responders.

Please be patient after the storm and avoid un-necessary travel to give the Department of Public Works and utility crews an opportunity to safely clear roads and restore power lines.
