Last year, the Board of Trustees established an Affordable Housing Committee to help further the cause of establishing affordable housing in our community. The Committee has been largely inactive since early 2013 due to the varying time pressures of its current members. The Board of Trustees has a renewed interest in seeing the committee move forward. We have reached out to Tiffany Zezula (Pace Land Use Law Center) and Rose Noonan (Housing Action Council) who share that same interest. Tiffany and Rose have agreed to run the meetings going forward. They will help set the agenda and prepare minutes. Essentially, they will “chair” the committee to help steer it going forward.
The first meeting is set for Wednesday, December 18 at 7pm. The meeting will be held in the Trustees’ Meeting Room of Village Hall. This is an excellent way to help a group of dedicated volunteers move forward with this important topic.
If you are interested, you are encouraged to attend this meeting.
