Sergeant Michael Foley has been a police officer with the Irvington Police Department for over 26 years. His law enforcement career started when he was hired by the Village of Irvington Police Department in 1994 and attended the Westchester County Police Academy. Sgt. Foley served in the patrol division from 1994-2001 when he was appointed as a Detective/Youth Officer. During this time he was also a certified D.A.R.E. Officer and instructed this program for many years. In 2006 he was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to supervise the detective division. In 2014 he was reassigned to the patrol division where he is the senior supervisor. Sgt. Foley was the long time president of the Irvington Police Association, having held that title from 2007 through 2021.
